Welcome to my world — real life, real food, real moments shared with warmth and a little Southern soul.
"When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice."
— Cherokee ProverbThank you for sharing this moment in time, as you begin your journey toward healthier eating and learning to cook from scratch, know that every small step matters. This space was created to walk alongside you — offering encouragement, simple recipes, and the confidence that real, nourishing food is something anyone can learn to make.
I began this journey as a stay-at-home mom with a deep desire to feed my family healthy, nutritious foods. That passion for deeper knowledge led me to earn a Bachelor's of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition — studied in the quiet hours while the children were sleeping. Every week, I took my children to the farmers market — letting them help me choose the vegetables while growing in understanding where real food comes from. Then we would come home and cook together, from scratch, meal by meal. It was not perfect, and it did not happen overnight — but every step of that journey has been worth it, and I want you to know that it is possible for you too.
When my children started school, I went back to college and earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing, becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. I have had the privilege of serving women and their families in home births, birth centers, a private hospital, and now a hospital dedicated to the care of Native American women.
I started making cooking videos because I believe deeply that what we eat shapes our health — and that healthy maternity outcomes begin long before labor. What started as a simple mission to teach women how to cook and eat well has grown into something far more beautiful than I ever imagined. I am so glad you are here — come on in.
Whether it's simply saying hello or you have a question — I would love to hear from you.
